Pierre Bourdieu on European Union

Only a European welfare state would be able to counteract the action disintegrating economy monétaire.Mais Tietmeyer , and neo-liberals, want neither nation states in which they see as mere obstacles to the free functioning of the economy , nor, a fortiori, the rule supranational they want to reduce a bank . And it is clear that if they want to get rid of national states (or Council of Ministers of the States of the community) by dispossessing their power , it is not, of course, to create a supranational state that would require them, with greater authority, constraints on social policy in particular, they want at all costs overcome.

So can be hostile to the integration of Europe based solely on the single currency , although by no means hostile to the political integration of Europe and, on the contrary , calling for the creation of a European state able to control the European and, more specifically , capable control, by anticipating the social effects of the union reduced its size to purely monetary by neo-liberal philosophy which aims to eradicate all vestiges of the state (social) as obstacles to the smooth functioning markets.
